Inspired by the traditional raincoats and outerwear worn by Scandinavian fishermen, Alexander Stutterheim founded Stockholm-based Stutterheim in 2010 with a line of durable, minimalist raincoats – garnering critical praise for his color sense and timeless silhouettes. Stutterheim brings these same inspirations and sensibilities to his new collection The Private Designs.
After a successful launch earlier this year, the second product release from The Private Designs is a classic, knee-length trench. The unisex style is handmade in Europe using a high-performance black cotton fabric sourced from Limonta, Italy and treated with a water-resistant coating. Available in a limited edition of 30 pieces, each coat is individually hand-numbered.
