To commemorate the return of the Stan Smith sneakers adidas teamed with Yohji Yamamoto to create a special edition for the Stan Smith Consortium project. Yamamoto’s avant-garde style blends seamlessly with the sleek silhouette of the original Stan Smith. The resulting Stan Smith Y’s are a combination of navy canvas and white leather with grey suede accents. The shoemakers familiar perforated 3-Stripes are replaced with hand-stitched style zig-zag embroidery, with the threads left hanging loose over the midsole.
The new Stan Smith Y’s will arrive in select retailers this spring, priced from $180.00.
