Pier Paolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri of Valentino presented their Spring 2013 menswear collection at Pitti Uomo for the second time. For this collection they wanted to bring a couture sensibility to menswear. Piccioli believes “couture is a culture that you can translate to all categories, men’s, too. It’s more masculine in a way, this obsession about the detail inside.”
A menswear collection inspired by couture could be very scary but this collection is filled with real clothes for real guys.
