Louis Vuitton has commissioned a series of photographs from Plastic Life author Vincent Bousserez. Larger Than Life, photographed at the Louis Vuitton flagship store on the Champs-Elysées in Paris, captures a miniature world in which tiny figurines interact with LV products. Bousserez, a creative director at a marketing agency by day, is best known for his arrangements of miniature plastic figurines set against ordinary objects to create extra-ordinary scenes.
“I take [the figures] on holiday, I take them everywhere. I could be anywhere and see stuff around me and the inspiration just comes naturally.”
The Larger Than Life photos are tame compared to some of Bousserez’s past subject matter; ice-skaters gliding down lanes of cocaine or hikers making their way out of someone’s bottom (scroll down for image), but they retain his original sense of humor.
