Imitation As Flattery… Simon Spurr Taped Sweater

If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery then Simon Spurr, who was recently awarded Fashion Group International’s Rising Star award, should be very flattered. If you liked the “cracked tape” inspired pattern of look number 6 from his Spring 2012 collection but want something you can wear throughout the summer Zara’s Diagonal Striped T-shirt is the answer. If you are a man who prefers the original, the Spurr sweater will not disappointed.

Perhaps Luca Gregorio, designer of Malph Sportswear, was also inspired by Mr. Spurr. Perhaps it’s just a coincidence. Either way… Malph’s printed cotton t-shirt features a blue tape design that looks a lot like the Spurr sweater. Check it out at Farfetch.com
