NikeLab ACG Summer 2017 Collection

The ten piece NikeLab ACG Sumner 2017 Collection offers optimal fit and function for all-weather conditions. Nike’s senior apparel designer Jarrett Reynolds said the centerpiece of the collection, the ACG Poncho, was inspired by the summer festival culture. “We were talking about summer festivals and the fact that so many people have ponchos with them. We then considered how we could create a pinnacle version of the garment. We used a lightweight three-layer ripstop fabric, added taped seams at the hood and made sure it was packable.”

To help ensure hands stay dry in the wettest conditions, insight from design partner Acronym® Errolson Hugh resulted in flipping the pocket — a poncho staple — inside out, placing the typical kangaroo build on the inside. Bold, contrasted ACG graphics on the front and back complete the look.

The care and consideration that went into designing the all-weather ACG Poncho is evident in the new ACG.07.KMTR trainer. The one piece upper is manufactured with industrial strength nylon, uses bungee cords and straps to ensure optimal fit and function.

The NikeLab Summer 2017 Collection launches May 18 in selected stores and on NikeLab.com.

The apparel selection includes an updated ACG Shirt Jacket which stows into its chest pocket and a new ACG Cargo pant, generously proportioned for contemporary aesthetic.
