With three New York City stores and a factory in Bushwick, Brooklyn, CADET is a truly local operation. The lines focus on military grade precision and subtle details produce an aesthetic with enough of a twist to make the designs desirable and current – without making you look like you’re strutting down a catwalk.
For Spring/Summer 2014 the military inspiration behind the brand is still evident, if less obvious than seasons past. Their Aviator Pant with ribbed ankle cuffs, one of the signature looks for spring, is a slim, contemporary interpretation of a 1950’s Air Force pant. The digital camouflage print Sergeant Shirt is distinct take on a timeless trend while the Officer Shirt, in a rich Japanese tencel/cotton blend, is definitely more mountain man than serviceman.
