OMEGA Seamaster Planet Ocean Orange Ceramic 01

Omega’s list of innovations and world premieres continues to grow with the launch of two exceptional timepieces; the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Orange Ceramic and Seamaster Planet Ocean Platinum. The new additions to the Seamaster Plant Ocean family will been produced in limited editions of only eight pieces each, a testimony to the challenge and complexity of creating these groundbreaking watches.

The Seamaster Planet Ocean Orange Ceramic has a brushed and polished 43.50 mm case crafted from 950-grade platinum with a bi-directional 24-hour GMT rotating bezel. The polished bezel ring, made from a patent pending orange ceramic, is the first of its kind. The sapphire crystal on the caseback allows an unobstructed view of the OMEGA Co-Axial calibre 8615 at the heart of the Seamaster Planet Ocean Orange Ceramic. This exclusive OMEGA Co-Axial mechanical movement is fitted with a Si14 silicon balance spring.

The Seamaster Planet Ocean Platinum celebrates the debut of a complex and delicate world premier technology that allows for the setting of diamonds on hard bodies such as ceramic and sapphire. The process begins with the engraving on a hard body using a special 5-axis laser that ensures the precision and the shape of the cavities. An exclusive 850-platinum Liquidmetal alloy is used to fill the openings and the excess is removed before polishing the piece. Diamonds are then set into the Pt850 Liquidmetal alloy using the traditional diamond-setting technique. The result is an unlikely pairing of a hard body and diamonds.
