Cool, chic and very accessible. These are the words Phillip Lim used to describes his ‘really personal’ collaboration with Target. Five years in the making, the 100 piece collection hits shelves on September 15 and features apparel, outerwear, shoes and bags divided into morning, noon and night wardrobes which range in price from $20 to $300.

When Target first approached Lim five years ago he wasn’t interested in doing a ‘capsule collection of dresses or something.’ The designer wanted to produce a comprehensive lifestyle collection and ‘create a new concept of the modern day wardrobe and accessories to really address the modern day citizen.’

A new concept of the modern wardrobe? Not quite. A bad-ass collection of minimalist sneakers ($45 – not a typo), color blocked t-shirts and a $300 leather jacket, most definitely. This could be Targets best menswear collaborations to date.
