Christian Dior’s creative director Raf Simons has been one of the most influential figures in contemporary fashion since the launch of his menswear line in 1995. In anticipation of the upcoming launch of his Autumn 2013 collection Dalston’s LN-CC boutique has curated a selection of pieces from their extensive Raf Simons archive covering his work from 1998 to 2008. LN-CC’s archive traces the various historical and cultural influences that have informed Simons over two decades. From his early Kraftwerk inspired looks, to sportswear influenced by the myth of Icarus to color blocking that foreshadows his work for Jil Sander and Christian Dior, the influences are as varied as they are unexpected.
