The Brooklyn Nets will host a sneaker art competition this Saturday at The Cyber Café at LIU Brooklyn. Nets players Deron Williams, Jerry Stackhouse, Keith Bogans, Tyshawn Taylor and Kris Humphries will be on hand with two-time Grammy-nominated rapper Fabolous at the Nets-themed sneaker-designing competition.

Up to 100 participants will be provided with sneakers, markers and materials and given a chance to express their artistic creativity while competing for several prizes including Nets tickets and signed jerseys. The competition will be judged by Brooklyn native Fabolous and winner will be chosen from two categories; kids ages, 14-20 and adults, 21-and-over.

Fabolous told Forbes that his “connection with the Nets is strong, being from Brooklyn… the Nets, they really care about the people in Brooklyn. It’s not just a place to play basketball; it’s about community.”
