The Cast is an impeccably curated Lower East Side boutique that stocks hard-to-find-vintage pieces and original men’s and women’s apparel from the stores signature label. Established in 2004, The Cast specializes in silky smooth, custom-made leather pants, jackets and vests. Their namesake line also includes printed t-shirts and a killer denim selection, look for the tapered ‘Slim Jim‘ and straight leg ‘Cig Cut‘ jeans starting at $150. One of their best original pieces is a leather hooded zip-up sweatshirt for $195 (see image below).
In addition to clothing, the shelves lining the shop’s artfully distressed walls include a selection of jewelry, vinyl records and small leather goods. In a world of high street chain stores and fast fashion The Cast is a true original. The passion of owners Chuck Guarino & Elisa Maldonado shows in the studiously selected vintage pieces and quality and craftsmanship of their original leather pieces.
