UPDATE: ‘THE TODD SNYDER TAILORED SHOP’ @ ODIN


 
The Todd Snyder Tailored Shop at Odin is now open. The pop-up will showcase Snyder’s tailored pieces and will be open till the end of June. The unlined suits, produced by Southwick in Haverhill MA, are available in summer weight wool, cotton and cotton/linen blends.

ODIN TO OPEN A TODD SNYDER POP-UP

Todd Snyder, a 2012 nominee for the CFDA’s Swarovski Award For Menswear, has a history with American fashion labels. Starting as intern at Ralph Lauren before being promoted to a design position, Snyder has also designed men’s sportswear for J.Crew and the Gap. In 2000 he was appointed Director of Menswear for the Gap, leaving in 2004 to become SVP of menswear at J.Crew. Snyder is credited with introducing many of the innovations and product categories J.Crew is known for today. He overhauled the brands menswear, introducing formalwear and brand collaborations and is responsible for the development of the Liquor Store boutique concept, opened in Tribeca in 2008, used to develop J.Crew’s menswear stores.

Also this week…
This week Target announced that Odin will debut an exclusive collection of sweaters, button-downs, pants, shoes and accessories in its stores and online on September 9, as part of the second installment of The Shops at Target collaboration. For Odin at Target, Eddy Chai and Paul Birardi, the owners of Odin, will translate the “essence of Odin’s signature aesthetic” into products for the mass market retailer.
