If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery then Rei Kawakubo should be extremely flattered. At $195 Comme Des Garcons Shirt’s Polka dot Sleeve Tee is, by Comme Des Garcons standards, a mass market product. By any standard it is the perfect summer tee. At $26 Zara’s “interpretation” is a no brainer. But remember… you get what you pay for.
